About Grade A

Buyers commonly specify cathode against LME Grade A, which references BS EN 1978 (Cu-CATH-1) or ASTM B115 Grade 1. These standards set limits on impurities such as silver, sulphur, lead and iron as well as copper content.

Each offer states the standard the cathode is certified to.
