Origin context

Tanzania produces thermal coal, mainly in the southern Ruvuma region, for domestic cement and power users and for export. It has become a supplier to seaborne buyers in Asia, including India and China, since 2022.

Coal from southern Tanzania is shipped through Tanzanian ports including Mtwara. The load port is stated in each offer.
