Tanzania
Our East African supply. Tanzania produces thermal coal, mainly in the southern Ruvuma region, and has exported to seaborne buyers in Asia since 2022. It also hosts significant nickel sulphide deposits.
The Port of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania’s main port, handles the large majority of the country’s international trade and serves landlocked neighbours including Zambia, Malawi, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda and the DRC. Coal from the south also ships through Mtwara.

South Africa is one of Africa’s most established mining and commodity export economies, with major deep-water ports and well-developed trade services.

Indonesia
Indonesia is a leading exporter of energy and mineral commodities to Asian markets. Its export rules for coal, gas and minerals are set by the Indonesian Government and change from time to time.
